Teck Announces New Collective Agreements

Teck announced today that unionized employees at Fording River Operations and Elkview Operations have ratified new six-year collective agreements. The Fording River Operations collective agreement replaced one that expired on April 30, 2021 and the Elkview Operations collective agreement replaced one that expired on October 31, 2020

“We are pleased to have reached a collective agreement that is fair to employees and supports the ongoing success of Fording River Operations,” said Richard Whittington, General Manager, Fording River Operations.

The agreement covers approximately 1,100 unionized employees at Fording River Operations, represented by the United Steelworkers Local 7884.

“We are pleased to have reached a new six-year collective agreement,” said Laura Gislason, General Manager, Elkview Operations. “We would like to thank all parties who were involved in the process and who contributed to this positive outcome.”

The agreement covers approximately 800 unionized employees at Elkview Operations, represented by the United Steelworkers Local 9346.
